Mobil Toyota dengan tahun pembuatan tahun 1994 dan 1995 kompatible dengan scan OBD2 dan memerlukan scan tool. Apa sih OBD2 scantool, alat ini sudah dijelaskan pada artikel sebelumnya yang berjudul Pengertian, Fungsi, dan Cara Pemakaian Scanner pada Mobil System EFI.
Untuk melakukan scan lihat gambar di bawah :
Note : Tidak semua kode masalah akan mengaktifkan lampu engine (EFI)
Sebelum melanjutkan pastikan :
- Lampu check engine berfungsi. Lampu engine harus menyala ketika saklar diputar ke posisi ON namun mesin dalam keadaan mati.
- Tegangan baterai di atas 11 volt.
- Katup throttle tertutup penuh (Throttle Position Sensor ditutup).
- Switch aksesori ( AC, Tape, dll) dalam posisi OFF.
- Mesin dalam suhu operasi normal (jika memungkinkan).
- Jangan menyalakan mesin
- Tempatkan kabel jumper pada soket bertuliskan Diagnosa pada TE1 dan E1.
Hitung jumlah kilat atau nyala lampu check engine. Jika sistem beroperasi secara normal (tanpa kesalahan terdeteksi), lampu check engine akan berkedip terus menerus dan merata sekitar 2 kali per detik
Jika tidak, lampu akan berkedip beberapa kali sama dengan kode masalah sebagai berikut:
- Cahaya berkedip hanya (0,5 detik ON, .5 detik OFF) saat menunjukkan angka.
- Lampu akan OFF selama 1,5 detik antara digit pertama dan digit kedua kode.
- Jika lebih dari satu kode disimpan, lampu akan MATI selama 2,5 detik sebelum kode berikutnya ditampilkan.
- Setelah semua kode ditampilkan, lampu akan OFF selama 4,5 detik dan seluruh urutannya akan berulang.
- Seri kode diagnostik akan terus berulang sepanjang terminal pengkoneksi cek TEl dan El terhubung.
Setelah selesai, lepaskan kabel jumper.
Setelah memperbaiki kerusakan, bersihkan kode dari memori ECU.
Setelah memperbaiki kerusakan, bersihkan kode dari memori ECU.
Kliring Trouble Codes
Semua kode masalah harus dibersihkan dari memori ECU setelah memperbaiki kesalahan. Jika tidak, kode akan tetap tersimpan dalam memori ECU tanpa batas waktu dan akan muncul bersamaan dengan kode baru jika terjadi masalah di masa depan.
- Lepaskan sekering EFI (15A) selama 30 detik dengan tombol pengapian MATI untuk menghapus kode apapun. Mungkin diperlukan waktu lebih lama dari 30 detik, tergantung suhu lingkungan (semakin rendah suhu, semakin lama sekringnya harus ditinggalkan).
- Kode masalah juga bisa dibersihkan dengan melepaskan baterai kendaraan. Namun, fungsi memori lainnya (jam, radio, dll), perlu disetel ulang.
- Setelah kode dihapus, uji jalan kendaraan (seperti yang berlaku untuk kesalahan) dan periksa kembali apakah ada kode yang diatur ulang. Jika demikian, ini menunjukkan bahwa area masalah belum diperbaiki dengan benar.
